Major energy project linking Kent and Suffolk hits new milestone

National Grid has appointed Siemens Energy as the preferred bidder to develop two HVDC converter stations for the 2GW Sea Link project between Suffolk and Kent, marking a major milestone in the national effort to expand UK electricity capacity and connect more renewable energy to the grid.
